MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Bullets were flying in a Frayser neighborhood Monday night.
"I rolled out the bed and hit the floor," April Gant said.
Neighbors on Birchfield Drive woke up to bullet hole after bullet hole through their walls.
"There were about 30 shots that were shot on this street last night," Lisa Stringfellow said. "Could have murdered us, because I thought I was going to have a heart attack."
Neighbors said more than half a dozen homes and cars were shot up overnight Monday.
"They act like they were over in Afghanistan or somewhere. I don't know what's wrong with them folks," Stringfellow said.
Gant is just happy her two grandchildren were not staying with her Monday night.
"I'm thinking when they shot here, they would have shot my grandkids in their head, and they wouldn't be here today," Gant said.
Gant, Stringfellow, and the other neighbors living on Birchfield Drive hope police can track down the people responsible for all the destruction.
