Forty-five people have been killed in Memphis since the start of the year. The city and officers are trying to get a handle on the rising number of homicides. This morning there's a new response from Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland. Details on WMC.

The fast-growing nondenominational Life Church could soon get bigger in Collierville. The church has filed for a building permit to build a new $15 million sanctuary. It's making headlines this morning in the Mid-South.

Saddle Creek in Germantown will soon see more than one million dollars in upgrades. Construction will be on the north side of the shopping center at Poplar and Farmington. Details this morning on WMC.

Public viewings continue for the late Nancy Reagan. The former first lady is lying in repose at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Her funeral service will be held tomorrow and she will be buried next to her husband, President Ronald Reagan at the library.

"The Most Interesting Man in the World" is coming to an end. Mexican beer company Dos Equis is retiring its ad campaign.
