FAYETTE COUNTY, TN (WMC) -

Two crashes on Interstate 40 blocked all westbound traffic in Fayette County just past the State Route 59 exit.

The first crash involved two cars. The second car involved two tractor-trailers and a car.

Tennessee Highway Patrol said it could be 11 a.m. before the road is back open.

These crashes are just four miles from where a fatal collision shut down eastbound lanes for three hours Thursday evening.

Four people were injured in the first crash. In one car, the driver was ejected and a child passenger was injured. In the other car, two passengers were injured.

No one was injured in the second crash.
