MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Shelby County School seniors are invited to a career expo hosted by the Workforce Investment Network (WIN) Friday, March 11.

The event began at 9:30 a.m. and will end 5 p.m. at the Pipkin building, 940 Early Maxwell in Memphis.

It is WIN’s first ever “Career Options and Opportunities Conference Expo.”

Parents and guardians are also encouraged to attend, with a goal of addressing the issue of poverty in the community by “providing exposure to career coaching, employment and entrepreneurial options,” as well as resources for job skills training.

The event is designed to help SCS seniors who have yet to make a decision on college or their career, so they can learn how to explore their options.

Parents and guardians can also benefit from the expo if they are going through a transition in their career.

Employers will recruit entry-level workers and seasoned workers.
