MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Brunswick Road is still closed between Old Brownsville and Jack Bond roads after the water has still not gone down following Thursday's flood. However, drivers continue to take their chances in driving through the flooded area.

"They're taking a risk doing that. I mean, the road sign is there for a reason," David Franks said.

The "Road Closed" sign is there, but multiple vehicles are going around the sign and driving through the water. Sometimes, even three vehicles at a time.

Motorcycle rider Jonathan Kirby said he was even thinking about riding his motorcycle through the flooded area.

"It's running pretty good. I don't know if I'm going through it or not," Kirby said. He decided he would not chance it, and turned around.

Water is running off the road so fast it looks like a waterfall.

Some drivers, however, did not even consider ignoring the sign.

"I hate it for the people right here in the houses," Troy Huson said.

Huson said he would not even consider trying to drive through the water.

The water doesn't appear to be going anywhere soon, but some motorists do not seem to be letting that stop them.
