NASHVILLE, TN (WMC) - The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame has announced its two choices for Male Professional Athletes of the Year.
Former two-time All-American at Tennessee and current Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry, as well as All-Pro Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol are the nominees.
Berry won the 2016 AP Comeback Player of the Year and an All-Pro after returning to the field from a cancer diagnosis.
Gasol was an All-Pro in 2015 and became the first Grizzlies player to ever start an All-Star Game.
The two will be honored in Nashville on Saturday, June 18. In addition, the TSHoF will induct Tennessee Titans legend Steve McNair and former Memphis Tigers star Earnest Gray.
