MONROE CO., TN (WMC) - A missing 2-year-old and her father were found after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a statewide alert for the two of them.
The alert was on behalf of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. The department said 2-year-old Makayla Weidner was taken by her non-custodial father after a domestic assault against the mother.
Makayla was safely found in Alma, Arkansas. Her father was also taken into custody.
Wesley Weidner, Jr., was wanted for aggravated assault, custodial interference, and failure to appear.
Law enforcement said Wedner made threats to kill himself.
The two went missing from Madisonville, Tennessee.
