MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Mid-South leaders are coming together to fight blight in Memphis communities.
City leaders toured several dilapidated units at the Cromwell Park Apartments off Winchester Road on March 8. Then, key players in the fight met to create the Memphis Blight Elimination Compact, a single document to guide the community in its response to vacant and abandoned property in years to come.
City leaders crafted and committed to the document, which they will unveil to the public at a forum Thursday at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. The summit starts at 12 p.m. and will last until 4:30 p.m.
The summit is free, but you must register to attend. Click here to register.
