U.S. Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants head to Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The United States Air Force Concert Band and Singing Sergeants from Washington, D.C., are headed to Memphis as part of a 12-day, five state community relations tour.

The spring tour includes stops in Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

The Memphis stop is scheduled for April 14, 2016 at 7 p.m. in the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts on North Main.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the United States Air Force Band, and for a second year in a row, the Concert Band and Singing Sergeants will also be the featured performing ensemble for the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular in New York City this summer.

The U.S. Air Force Concert Band and Singing Sergeants are two of the six performing ensembles within the United States Air Force Band, the premier musical organization of the U.S. Air Force.
