GERMANTOWN, TN (WMC) - Make-A-Wish granted a wish for a very special Mid-South teen Thursday.
Kaitlyn, 13, was overcome with excitement in the Germantown High School library. Her wish to go to Disney World had been granted, and the students at GHS made it happen.
GHS Student Council members collected thousands of dollars to send Kaitlyn and her family to Disney World.
Make-A-Wish sends a big "job well done" to GHS students who have raised money to help grant wishes for nine years.
Make-A-Wish® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human condition with hope, strength and joy. Each year, Make-A-Wish Mid-South fulfills the wishes of more than 240 children across the Mid-South.
