Germantown Easter Eggstravaganza planned

The city of Germantown is ready for the Easter Bunny.   The city's annual Easter Eggstravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, March 19, for kids up to 8 years old.  There's no need to register.  Just show up with an Easter basket and join the fun.  The family event includes Easter egg hunts, a petting zoo, games, concessions and other activities.  Bring your camera phone! The Easter Bunny will be there, too!

The really cool thing about this event is that there are multiple egg hunts with the kids separated by age, so all the kids get a shot at the candy-filled eggs.  The egg hunt for kids up to 2 years old starts at 10:30 a.m.  Kids ages 3 and 4 years old start at 11 a.m.  Kids ages 5 and 6 years old hunt at 11:30 a.m.  The fun will wrap up with kids ages 7 and 8 hunting for eggs at noon.

The rain date for this event is Tuesday, March 22.   Keep your fingers-crossed the rain will stay away Saturday morning.   WMC Action News 5's Meteorologist Spencer Denton says there is a 30% chance of rain in the area.  Stay with WMC Action News 5 for updates and download the WMC Action News 5 app to make sure you have a great weekend!
