COLLIERVILLE, TN (WMC) - Dozens of people when to jail Thursday, and for good reason. It's all part of the Muscular Dystrophy Association lockup.
Community members and business leaders volunteered to "go to jail" and raise bail. The bail goes to benefit the MDA and specifically to send kids to camp.
The goal is to raise $30,000. If the group can reach that goal every MDA child in the Germantown-Collierville area will go to camp.
WMC Action News 5 was proud to participate. I took part in the lockup and so the folks who follow the "Biker Dad" blog have donated nearly $1,000, but we still need more! You can still help please click here to donate.
