MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Memphis community centers are providing the opportunity for Memphis youth to have a free Spring Break experience during their week out of school.
A total of 25 community center locations will be hosting The Spring Break Experience to all Memphis youth, with programs centered around three core areas of service: Health, Fitness and Wellness; Educational and Character Development; and Cultural Arts and Expressions.
The centers will also have extended hours of operation during spring break.
The activities, although some may differ throughout the centers, will generally include sports, games, playground games, mentoring and character building exposures, and a wide array of other activities.
The Spring Break Experience will happen from March 21 to March 24.
All community centers will be open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., except for Raymond Skinner Center which will open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.).
All centers will be closed Good Friday, March 25 and re-open Saturday, March 26.
The Spring Break Experience is free for all children ages 5-17.
You don not have to register; however, all participants will be required to sign in.
