MPD: Suspects use false identity to steal SUV, open MLGW account

Memphis police are looking for two people they said used false identification to rent and steal an SUV from Budget Rental.

On January 25, an African-American man and woman went to Budget Rental in the 2400 block of Winchester Road to rent a 2015 black Dodge Durango with Tennessee license plate number X67-10N.

Police said the suspects used a stolen identity to rent the vehicle and have not returned it. Police also said the suspects used the same stolen identity to open a Memphis, Light, Gas and Water account.

The male suspect is described as five foot ten inches tall, between 25 to 30 years old, 180-190 pounds, medium complexion, long dread locks, wearing a red long sleeve shirt with black print, light colored blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

The female suspect is described as medium complexion, 25 to 30 years old, five foot five inches tall, 220-230 pounds, and medium length hair, wearing a black hat, black and leopard print shirt, black yoga pants and tan Ugg boots.
