MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - The Memphis Grizzlies are balling for a good cause this month.
Throughout March, team members will participate in the Hoops for St. Jude Challenge. Fans can donate in one of two ways.
Fans can either make a flat donation or pledge a dollar amount for every assist the Grizzlies record between March 9 and April 5.
Mike Conley kicked off the campaign by pledging $15 per assist.
The Grizzlies said they're projected to make 300 assists throughout the campaign.
If the idea of donating funds to help cure childhood cancer isn't tantalizing enough, the team offered pledge incentives for donors.
Fans who pledge $0.10 per assist or donate $30 will get their name listed on the Memphis Grizzlies scoreboard during their April 5 game.
Pledge $0.50 per assist or donate $150 and earn a chance to be one of 20 winners of a St. Jude lapel pin.
If you pledge $1 per assist or donate $300, you'll have a chance to win a basketball signed by the Grizzlies.
Fans who pledge $5 per assist or donate $1,500 will earn the chance to win a Grizzlies practice court experience for up to 15 people.
All contributions will go towards St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
