MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A man accused of sneaking into a teenager's room and assaulting her is out of jail on a $30,000 bond.

According to the police report, a woman said her 15-year-old daughter was sleeping in her bedroom on March 15 when a man she didn't know opened her window.

The man then reached his arm inside the room and tried to pull the girl's underwear down while she was sleeping. The teenager woke up and jumped out of bed, screaming for help. The man then ran away.

WMC Action News 5 does not normally identify victims of sexual assault, but this family said they want to help other victims. They said they want to come forward to show that it is the people committing sexual crimes that should be ashamed--not the victims.

"Well to be honest, I just want to hurt him. I just want to hurt him. Like, how can you do somebody like that," the victim's mother, Marsha Sullivan, said.

Sullivan's tears have now turned to fury.

"It's sad to say, but [some] women just give it up for little or nothing, then you want to come and try to mess with a child?" Sullivan said.

Police identified 25-year-old Isaiah St. Clair as a suspect after finding finger prints on the scene that matched his. When detectives asked the 15-year-old about St. Clair, she said she had seen him in the neighborhood, but he had never been to her home.

"I didn't feel him," Salena Sullivan said. "He moved the sheets and my skirt up. But when he was pulling my undergarments down, I was waking up. I guess as he saw me waking up, he was backing up out the window."

Salena said she fell asleep with her earphones in with music playing and she never heard him outside of her room. Thinking back, she said she's heard strange sounds coming from her backyard for the past few months.

"I was, well, falling asleep and then I heard a tap in my window," Salena said.

She said she thought it was a ghost or cricks in their new home.

"Like a slight tap and I jumped up and I went to my momma. I told her that I heard somebody tapping at my window. She didn't think nothing of it," Salena said.

Now the family fears the man could have been tracking them for a while.

Marsha Sullivan said she is prepared to fight to protect her family at any cost.

"Well it happened the first time, but it won't happen no more. Anybody come up on this hill, I'm going to take care of them," Sullivan said.

St. Clair is charged with aggravated burglary and sexual battery.

He is not due in court until April.
