(NBC NEWS) - A Mormon missionary has been at the center of three terror attacks.
Mason Wells, 19, has experienced terror first hand at the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, the Paris terror attack in 2015, and most recently the Brussels terror attack.
Wells suffered severe burns on his hands and face. He also took shrapnel in his leg. Despite his injuries, he considers himself very lucky.
"My only thoughts are, you know if God, he can comfort someone like me who went through those blasts, I know he is there for everyone," Wells said in an exclusive interview with NBC's Matt Lauer. "I would just hope that the families of those injured and also those who were injured can feel the prayers of others and how much I feel for them. I feel very lucky to have made it out with the injuries I have from being so close. I just hope those other families and those injured know there are many people that care about them and that are wishing them the best."
