MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Just when you were getting used to driving near the flyover, TDOT is making a few adjustments.
Starting at 8 p.m. Monday, westbound traffic on Interstate 40 will shift into new lanes over the Wolf River Bridge.
Between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., TDOT crews will intermittently close lanes on westbound I-40, westbound I-240 and westbound Sam Cooper Boulevard. These closures will allow crews to redirect traffic onto the new bridge over the Wolf River.
Additionally, the right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard westbound is closed, and the left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard eastbound is closed.
From westbound I-40, three lanes will be open: one headed to Sam Cooper, one to westbound I-240, and one to the new westbound I-40 flyover.
From eastbound I-40, three lanes will be open: one from eastbound I-240 to eastbound I-40, one lane to the new eastbound I-40 flyover and one lane to Sam Cooper.
