Police are searching for a man that hit a woman on the head and stole her money early Wednesday morning.
Investigators said the 23-year-old woman was inside her apartment on Village Woods Drive in the Highland Meadows Apartments when she heard a knock at her front door.
When she answered the door, a man in a white shirt and jeans forced his way into her apartment. She said he told her to lie down on the floor and demanded money.
She got on the floor and said she thought she heard a gunshot, but police said no shots were fired. The suspect then started hitting her in the head with a gun.
The suspect then grabbed cash from her table and ran off with the money.
