MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A Frayser man was sentenced to 23 years in prison for being a serial rapist.

Marion Walker, 44, entered an Alford plea to two aggravated rapes, two aggravated assaults, and a robbery. The crimes he will be punished for include victimizing four women in separate incidents.

An Alford plea is a guilty plea which allows a defendant to maintain that he or she is innocent of the crimes but understands it is in his/her best interest to take a plea deal.

Investigators said Walker terrorized women between 2008 and 2013. They said he assaulted, raped, and robbed several women during that time.

Once Walker gets out of prison he will be on community supervision for life, and he will have to register as a violent sex offender.

The crimes Walker is being punished for (but not admitting guilt to) include:

  • Abducting, raping, and robbing a woman after offering her a ride.
  • Cutting a woman with a box cutter at an apartment complex as she resisted his attempt to rape her.
  • Raping a pregnant woman he abducted from a sidewalk in Orange Mound.
  • Punching a woman in the face, choking her, and robbing her after she refused his offer for a ride.

Walker was linked to one of those crimes with DNA evidence and the others through eye witness testimony.
