MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - There could soon be a new movie theater in downtown Memphis.

Malco Theatres has filed a building permit valued at $6.5 million dollars.

The new theater would consist of seven screens, a new box office and bar, plus a rooftop seating area.

The theater will be built at 45 GE Patterson Avenue, the current site of The Power House building. The project is part of a $55 million dollar Central Station development project.
