MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Two people were shot during a Craigslist robbery in Raleigh.

Emergency crews rushed to the Raleigh post office on Austin Peay Highway around 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Post office workers called police when two people with gunshot wounds walked into the building. Investigators determined the shooting happened less than half a mile away on St. Elmo Drive.

Police said the two victims were trying to buy a car from people they met on Craigslist. The Craigslisters instead pulled out guns, robbed the victims, and shot them.

Both victims, a man and a woman, were taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.

Officers said the shooting could be related to other Craigslist robberies in the area.

Officers said the shooting could be related to other Craigslist robberies in the area. Craigslist robberies have been such a prevalent issue, MPD issued tips on how to shop Craigslist safely.

Investigators are still working to determine who shot the two people on St. Elmo Drive.
