Women's empowerment brunch benefits backpack and uniform program for Memphis girls

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Supporting and encouraging ladies to strive for greatness was the aim Saturday at the Women's Empowerment Brunch. 

The brunch was coordinated by Brandme Dani and Southern Charm Event Group's Danielle Reid in an intimate setting inside the Candy Factory Lofts in downtown Memphis.

The event was open to women of all backgrounds in an effort to celebrate achievements, share advice for growth and success, and establish a network of resources.

Dr. Chrisla Key, a nurse practitioner at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, served as the moderator.

Panelists featured Reid, Bubble Bistro owner Andrea Johnson, WMC Action News 5's Jerica Phillips, Younique networking and marketing guru Kenesha Morrison, First Tennessee Service Specialist Whitney Williams, and The Candle Bakery owner Tiffany Greenlee. 

The ladies discussed topics addressing:

  • Staying on the path to greatness 
  • Dealing with life stresses
  • Balancing the role of superwoman
  • Emotional, financial, and mental stability. 

Sponsors included Euphoria Fitness Studios, Fain Haus Cosmetics, Eighth Lotus Hair Products, and Didlake Realty One Group. 

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Limitless Beauties Backpack and Uniform Program, supporting more than 250 girls in Memphis.
