MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Memphis police said the shutdown of the Hernando DeSoto Bridge is over and traffic is flowing again.
Police shutdown the bridge for three hours after a man's cry for help had him on the bridge threatening to jump. The man's family stood, watched, and cried, as law enforcement negotiated and talked to the man. His sister said she just wanted him to come down so she could hug him and let him know they loved him.
Police negotiated with the man and said he safely came off the bridge
