Lake Charles, LA (WMC) - Several organizations gathered in Lake Charles, Louisiana, at the amphitheater for a fundraiser to benefit Carmen Guillot's 6-year-old daughter. The single mother died in a motorcycle accident in January. The benefit began with an early morning motorcycle poker run followed by an afternoon of food and fun in the sun for attendees.
"As a community, Lake Charles has always been a community where everybody gets along and we live in an area where everybody gets along and just to raise awareness, we live in an area where we ride for most of the day and be there for people when they need it," said organizer Jessica McBride.
The ultimate goal of the benefit was to ensure Guillot's daughter Zoie has a better future. Organizers are still taking donations. You can click here for more information.
