SHELBY COUNTY, TN (WMC) - A storage building inside Shelby Forest caught fire Tuesday.
Approximately two dozen firefighters rushed to the scene near Piersol Lake.
Shelby County Fire Department initially reported the Shelby Forest Visitor Center was on fire, but Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation later clarified that the building that caught fire was not the visitor center.
Instead, the building once was a nature center but has since been converted into a storage building.
Crews had to shuttle water into the park to fight the fire because there are no hydrants in the area.
