MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Memphis Police Department is searching for someone believed to have opened fire near a Cricket Wireless store.

MPD received reports of a shooting and robbery near the store in the 2900 block of Lamar Avenue.

Nobody in the area has reported being injured in the crime.

"I didn't know if they were going to come back in the store and he looked like any slight movement he would have pulled that trigger," one witness said.

When officers arrived, the suspect ran off. Police dispatched multiple officers and set up a perimeter around the area in an effort to catch the suspect.

A woman who lives near the store told police she saw a man running through her neighborhood on North Harris Circle. He pointed a gun at her before running off.
