MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The Grizzlies are finally back in the win column with some home cookin’.

Former long-time Grizzlies star Pau Gasol once again returned to the Bluff City, but the Grizz were quick to spoil the homecoming with a 108-92 win.

Zach Randolph exploded for the Grizz, scoring a game-high 27 points to go with 10 rebounds in a massive double-double.

Vince Carter grinded a tough performance off the bench, scoring 17 points with a pair of three-pointers.

Matt Barnes added 16 points in a big 41 minutes and Jordan Farmar added another 15.

Gasol added a double-double of his own, scoring 17 with 10 rebounds, but the big star for Chicago was Nikola Mirotic, who stayed behind the three-point line for all of his field goal attempts, shooting 6-of-9 and scoring a team-high 20.

The win snapped a six-game losing streak for Memphis, who was consistently losing ground in the Western Conference standings.

The Grizz will have another chance to do that in their next contest when they stay in Memphis to take on the Mavericks, one of the teams they are ahead of in the conference.

The Grizzlies now sit 4.5 games ahead of the ninth-place Rockets with four games left to play, meaning any pair of a Rockets loss or a Grizzlies win would clinch a playoff spot for Memphis. The Rockets will be in Dallas Wednesday night to play the Mavs.
