MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A man is behind bars, accused of robbing a couple during a Craigslist scam.

According to the police report, the couple made arrangements to meet with a man on Joslyn Street on February 25 just after noon. They planned to purchase a 2010 Chevrolet 1500 LZT truck for $16,000 cash.

The husband said he stayed in contact with the man via phone calls and text messages, but when they arrived at the address they didn't see a truck for sale.

When the couple stopped at the intersection of Joslyn Street and Hillwood Drive, three men with guns came up to their car from both sides. The suspects opened the driver and passenger side doors simultaneously and demanded money.

One suspect reached over the woman and grabbed the cash. The husband was able to get the vehicle into gear and tried to drive away. As he was driving away, one of the men fired several shots into his car.

Investigators later developed 19-year-old Kyran White as one of the suspects in this robbery.

White is charged with aggravated robbery, attempted first-degree murder, and employment of a firearm during a dangerous felony.
