Montgomery County, MS (WMC) -

A Mississippi community is in shock after three people are dead and a fourth injured in an overnight killing spree.

According to Montgomery County investigators, Kenneth Cornelius Loggins, 32, was killed in his home just outside Winona shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Montgomery investigators discovered two more victims-- 59-year-old Carolyn Ann Sanders and 32-year-old Marquita Vaughns Hill-- in a home on Pecan Drive in Kilmichael, approximately 10 miles away.

A fourth victim, Marcus Brown, was found shot. He was taken to University Medical Center by a helicopter and is receiving treatment.

"That's a horrible thing, because can you imagine a mother and daughter? It's just sad and it hurts, and I'm even wondering where I go from here," Charlene Ervin said.

Odell Hallmon, 40, turned himself in to authorities shortly after the killings. He is facing three counts of first-degree murder, one count of aggravated assault, and another count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Sheriff Bubba Nix said Hallmon has a checkered past.

"He's been in and out of prison. Drugs, he's on probation now, and just been a problem with drugs with him," Sheriff Nix said.

He said Hallmon and Hill have a 12-year-old child together.

Investigators learned the child was actually inside the home when the murders happened, but somehow escaped unharmed.
