MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The annual Holocaust Memorial Program at the Memphis Jewish Community Center features the film "Lives Restarted."

"Lives Restarted" is a new film made in Memphis and features local Holocaust survivors. The film is a documentary that traces the lives of survivors being released from the camps and their individual journeys to find freedom in America.

By using interviews with living survivors of the Holocaust or the adult children of those who have passed away, "Lives Restarted" explores the challenges of those who were faced with restarting their lives, and the courage and resilience they embodied in creating their new community in Memphis.

The 54th annual Yom HaShoah Commemoration will be held May 5 at 6:30 p.m.
