MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Memphis In May issued a warning regarding the potential for fraudulent ticket sales outside of Beale Street Music Festival.

Up to 100,000 people are expected to pack into Tom Lee Park to listen to acts like Neil Young perform. Some of them will show up to the event looking to buy a ticket from a scalper, but buyer beware.

Since Memphis In May is using a new ticketing system, allowing people to print their tickets at home, there is an added risk that tickets could be duplicated and sold on the streets.

If you are buying passes to the festival, you are urged to buy them from the only vendor authorized to sell them, ticketfly.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the Memphis In May ticket booth, which will be located on Riverside Drive and Beale Street during BSMF16 hours.

"Three day pass holders are going to get one ticket. That one ticket is good for all three days. Every night it will reset itself and it will be good the next morning," Beale Street Music Festival representative Penelope Huston said.
