MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Three people were arrested after a robbery spree late Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Police said the three men robbed two Exxon gas stations, a Circle K gas station and a CVS Pharmacy.

The first robbery happened at the Exxon in the 6000 block of Mount Moriah about 11 p.m. Saturday. The clerk told police that a black man wearing a grey Oklahoma State University Cowboys sweatshirt came into the store with a gun and robbed the store. The suspect shot several times into the store and took cash and other property. The suspect then left the scene in a 2000’s model gray Nissan Maxima with dark tinted windows.

The second robbery happened at a CVS Pharmacy in the 6600 block of Winchester Road just before midnight Sunday. Police were told that a black man, wearing a black t-shirt and black running pants came into the store to create a diversion. A second suspect came to the counter wearing a grey OSU Cowboys sweatshirt, black pants and eyeglasses. He told the clerk that he had a gun and demanded money. Both suspects left the scene in a gray Nissan Altima or Maxima.

The third robbery happened at the Circle K in the 7100 block of Winchester Road around 12:26 a.m. Sunday. The clerk told police that a black man wearing a grey OSU sweatshirt came into the store with a gun, jumped the counter and attempted to take money from the lottery machine. The clerk ran to a secure area. The suspects left the scene on foot. A witness told police that they saw the suspect get into a gray Nissan Maxima and head southbound on Germantown Road. No one was injured during the robbery, but the suspect did shoot into the ceiling of the store.

The last robbery happened at the Exxon in the 6400 block of East Shelby Drive just before 1 a.m. A clerk told police that a black man wearing a grey OSU hoodie entered the store, pointed at gun at the clerk and demanded money from the register. The suspect became impatient and fired shots at the clerk, then took money from each of the registers. He then left the store on Shelby Drive in a grey Nissan Altima or Maxima.

Shortly after the Shelby Drive Exxon robbery, police saw the car speeding on Hickory Hill Road near Winchester Road. The officer observed the car run a red light and continue northbound on Hickory Hill, then pull into a parking lot of a business in the 3500 block of Hickory Hill. The passenger in the front seat, later identified as Travon Jones, then got out the car and ran. The suspect was taken into custody after a short police chase. The two other suspects were taken into custody at the scene.

Jones was wearing a grey OSU Cowboys sweatshirt, identical to the one described by victims in all four robberies.

Police found a gun, money and a white plastic bag inside the car. All suspects were taken to the Felony Response Bureau for further investigation.

Twenty-two-year-old Nernest Nesby, 20-year-old Arterrious McCalleum, and 18-year-old Travon Jones have been charged in the robbery spree.
