MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Day three of Beale Street Music Festival brought back the fun.

After day two came with rain delays and mud, day three brought nicer weather…even if the mud was still present.

Festival-goers were just as excited for day three as day one. Penelope Houston, who is running the festival, said they expect 80,000 to 100,000 people were in attendance over the weekend.

She said a small setback caused them to cut four events Saturday, but the festival otherwise went smoothly.

At one point, fans were concerned that rain could cause an evacuation, but Houston said they have not evacuated since 2008, and there was no plan to do so in 2016.

"We have amazing fans, and I think the fan experience was fantastic this year, but that's because everybody came with a beautiful attitude,” Houston said.

Fans agreed that the experience was beautiful.

"It's been great every day. People call it a mud fest and complain about the rain but today it's beautiful,” Susan Hill said.

Music fans came from all over the country to watch their favorite bands.

"I love it! Ten years ago, the hospitality stuck with me, and 10 years later I’m still here."

Overall, organizers said it was a very successful year at BSMF. Next up will come 11 days of grub for the BBQ Fest.
