COLLIERVILLE, TN (WMC) -

A large group of vultures were seen perched atop a fire station in Collierville on Monday.

Approximately 10 of the black vultures were grouped together on the roof of the station on Houston Levee Road.

The Memphis Zoo said there has been a lot of black vultures in the Lakeland and Cordova area recently. They are usually seen in small groupings and are common in Tennessee.

The vultures weigh between two and four pounds and can have a wingspan up to 5.5 feet.
