MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The Redbirds, starting former Memphis Star Tommy Pham, down on rehab assignment from the Parent Cardinals, went against Omaha Wednesday at AutoZone Park.

Pham is nursing a strained oblique he suffered on Opening day with the Big Club

In the bottom of the second, tied at 1, Pham came through with a base knock into right, scoring 2.

Pham went 1-for-2 with 2-RBI and a stolen base.

Matt Williams added an RBI triple, as the Redbirds took a victory 8-6.

After the game, Pham talked about the frustration of his injury.

'We train so hard in the off-season to be ready for opening day," Pham said. "..and when something like that happens, it's just really frustrating because you work so hard like I said, and you have an injury that slows you down. Right now the team is struggling and I feel like I can contribute to help 'em, it's frustrating to watch.''

Pham will be back in the Memphis lineup when the Redbirds and Storm Chasers meet again on the Diamond in a 7 o'clock start Thursday at AutoZone Park.
