Police investigate 3 shootings in 4 hours

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Shootings injured three people late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

The first happened around 10:30 p.m. on Knight Road near Wooddale Avenue. One person was taken to the hospital.

The second happened just minutes later on Stovall Avenue near Hyde Park Boulevard and Chelsea Avenue. A neighbor said two men were fighting before one of them left, came back with the gun, and shot the other. The victim's condition is currently unknown.

"It's just tragic," the neighbor said. "Shame, things like this go on every day."

A third shooting victim, a woman in her mid-30s, was taken to the hospital around 2:45 a.m. Thursday after a shooting on Pikes Peak Avenue near Jackson Park and Harrison Creek. She is in critical condition.

Police do not have any suspect information in any of the three investigations at this time.
