Police are looking for the people responsible for a robbery near the Vollintine and Evergreen Greenline in Midtown.

The victim told officers he was out for a walk on the bridge on Evergreen Street just before 10 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim said two black men walked past him. One of the men turned around and put a gun to his head.

The victim said he only had about 17 cents in his pocket and he left his wallet at home. The victim told police the suspects were last seen running eastbound through the Greenline trail. The suspect who put the gun to the victim’s head was wearing a white hoodie.

"I guess if you're out at night I would be like semi-concerned just because it could be a little isolated," runner Jack Chambers said. "You didn't really get too much worth when you robbed him, so I wouldn't be anymore concerned than I would in any other neighborhood."

Although no injuries were reported, runners said it's another reminder that even the most serene places are not always safe.

"If it's dark, don't go any place that's not illuminated and don't go by yourself," Bill Spaulding, walker, said.
