5 Great things: Justin Timberlake, perfect ACT score

It’s always an amazing week in the Mid-South. Here are five reasons that prove it.

CBHS Sophomore Perfect ACT

Talk about impressive! A Christian Brothers High School student made a perfect score on the ACT. Dwight Moore received a perfect 36--something less than one in every 1,000 people actually achieve.

Cookies for Troops

Mid-South girl scouts are sending 10,000 boxes of their famous cookies to troops overseas. The program uses donations from annual cookie sales, when customers can donate an extra box. FedEx made the deal extra sweet by agreeing to help ship the boxes free.

U of M Symphony

The Memphis Symphony Orchestra makes the University of Memphis its new home. The Orchestra will move its administrative offices to the campus with the help of a $15 million endowment fund. A proposed $40 million music center is expected to break ground soon.

Graceland 20 Millionth Visitor

Elvis Presley’s Graceland welcomed its 20 millionth visitor this week. Newlyweds Tiffany and Robert Greenoak of London, England were surprised with a private tour of the home, and even got a phone call from Priscilla Presley, Elvis’ former wife.

Justin Timberlake ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling!’

Our boy, Mid-South native Justin Timberlake, released a new song. ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ features the cast of the new ‘Trolls’ movie, set for release this fall.
