MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Memphis police are looking for four men who kidnapped another man.

Police said a man was taken at an Exxon station on South Bellevue Boulevard at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The man was released about an hour after the attack.

Police said the suspects beat the victim, dragged him, threw him in their vehicle, and left westbound on South Parkway.

A woman who was at the gas station when the kidnapping occurred said she pleaded with the men to leave him alone.

"I was on my way out the store getting in my car when I saw them run in the store,” she said. “I didn't know if they were going to start shooting.”

The woman did not want to be identified.

"It was very scary. I tried to say, ‘please stop.’ I tried to plead for the man’s life and say just call the police.”

She said the men were assaulting the victim, kicking him in the head, beating him, and smacking him.

She said no matter how much she and other witnesses begged, the beating didn’t stop.

She said one of the four men yelled out, “He touched my baby,” but the victim denied it.

"He was begging, ‘please, please,’ and they said, ‘no, you should have ran.’"

Gas station employees called police, but it was too late.

"I’m sad for the man. I couldn't do anything for the man," the witness said.

The first suspect is described as a black man with a low haircut, glasses, an orange t-shirt, and khaki shorts.

The second suspect is described as a black man with a low haircut, a white shirt with an apple on the front, and dark colored shorts.

The third suspect is described as a black man with white rimmed glasses, a white shirt with a black edge on the sleeves, and faded blue jeans with cargo pockets.

The fourth suspect is described as a bald black man with a red shirt with a logo of a person with an afro on it, black pants, and red shoes.

"Being thrown in a car and nobody said or did anything, that's outrageous," Gloria Rollins said.

The victim said he knows one of the four suspects. No one is in custody at this time.
