MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A woman said a viral video of her fighting with another woman inspired her to make a lifestyle change.

The Memphis resident was caught on camera arguing with another woman in a fit of road rage. At the end of the video, her breathing becomes labored.

The woman contacted WMC Action News 5's Tiffany Neely about the video. She said it was her wake-up call. Now she's ready to take control of her life and her health.

The video of the exchange, which happened in Memphis, has more than 3.6 million views.

The woman, who shouts "You're lucky I'm out of breath!" is Dina Burks.

“How do I feel after seeing that video? That video was a reality check,” Burks said.

She said the exchange started when the women cornered her near Poplar Avenue and Ashland Street.

Burks said when it happened, she weighed 673 pounds, and it was hard for her to stand.

The video quickly became an internet sensation.

“It had like 300,000 (views). The next day I woke up it was like at 3.3 million,” Burks said.

Burks said people have reached out to her from all over, from producers with Jerry Springer to viewers from overseas.

“It was so amazing that my video went to Afghanistan,” she said.

She didn’t feel that way at first, however.

“I felt bad and sad because people felt it was a joke.”

Burks said what happened was an extension of the bullying she’s received most of her life.

Since the video was shot in April, Burks said she has lost 50 pounds and is getting ready for a new lease on life: a gastric sleeve to lose weight.

“I want to be able to do normal things normal people do,” Burks said.

She said she is going through the steps for the surgery. She is hoping her story will help other girls with weight issues.

“Never give up. “Prayer is the key; have faith.”

She has set up a GoFundMe for people who want her help with her weight loss journey. You can donate by clicking here.
