Tornado with debris cloud 1 1/2 miles wide caught on camera

SULPHUR, OK (NBC) -

A tornado touched down in Southern Oklahoma on Monday afternoon and the entire ordeal was caught on camera.

The tornado was spotted moving through Sulphur, which is about 85 miles south of Oklahoma City.

Storm chasers reported the tornado crossed Interstate 35, forcing the road to be closed in both directions.

The funnel cloud reportedly had multiple vortexes and a debris cloud reaching about a 1 1/2 miles wide.

Heavy damage was reported, including downed power lines, uprooted trees, and collapsed structures.
