MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The hit television drama 'Underground' is so popular in Memphis, several stars from the show traveled to the Bluff City to give fans a chance to meet them and ask the questions they've been holding in all season long.

Aldis Hodge, who plays Noah, Alano Miller, who's Cato on the show, and Amirah Vann, who plays Ernestine, were on hand for a Q&A session and meet and greet with passionate fans who love the show. Their night at the National Civil Rights Museum opened up with media interviews and photos. Then, the stars and the fans answered questions about the season, the show's success, and the historical context in which the stories are told.

The celebration was a homecoming for 'Underground,' which kicked off its awareness campaign in Memphis last October with an exclusive screening and panel event at the National Civil Rights Museum. The original series has since been lauded across the country at screenings, panels and appearances including a special presentation at The White House during Black History Month.

Memphis’ passionate fans helped propel 'Underground' to become the highest rated scripted series ever for WGN America.

"The overall cultural influence and response and conversation that's been going on about the show has been bringing it every week. That says so much and it's really good to be apart of something like that," actor Aldis Hodge said.

'Underground' has been picked up for a second season.
