MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A man is apologetically sitting in jail after shooting at two sisters.

On May 1, two sisters told police they had been shot at while driving by someone in another vehicle in the 3200 block of Morningview Drive.

Five days later, the two victims told police that they were shot at by a vehicle driven by Kaelan Clark.

One of the women told police that Clark called her after the shooting and said, “We did not mean to shoot at y’all. We thought y’all was some dudes.”

Wednesday, Clark was arrested. He told police he met with one of the victims and another woman earlier the day of the shooting and believed that they were men.

Clark told police his associates planned to rob the sisters after not being happy with their appearance.

Clark is charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
