An Amber Alert has been activated for a 12-year-old Crittenden County girl.

A level two Amber Alert was issued Wednesday for Jamiria Murray of West Memphis.

She is about 5’ and 130 pounds with long braided hair that is black and purple.

She was last seen around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday leaving Wedlock Elementary, an alternative school in nearby Edmonson.

She was wearing blue jeans, a black short sleeve shirt, and black shoes when she was last seen.

According to Chief Zane Boyd, Murray does have behavioral issues and has run away before.

He said she told someone she was leaving and tried to take a friend with her, but the friend did not go.

Boyd said she left school and got into a black "luxury Mercedes-type" car with chrome rims.

"Today, we've exhausted about every lead that we have,” Boyd said.

Boyd said Murray’s mother reported her missing after she failed to show up on the school bus.

"She made at least one comment to a classmate that she was going to leave this area and not come back,” he said.

Investigators found a car they thought to be related, but it turned out to be unrelated.

The FBI was contacted Wednesday for assistance that may include a social media sweep.

If you have any information about where Murray might be, contact the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office at 870-702-2000.
