An argument ended with a father being shot and killed in Binghampton.

Police responded to the scene on Baltic Street just after 1 a.m. and found Charles Keith, 22, in critical condition. He was rushed to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save him.

"He was a good--a good guy," Keith's aunt said. "He's going to be missed and those children are going to miss their dad."

Keith was a father and a step-father to many children.

"Those children will never know their dad, and they'll never know what kind of a man that he was," his aunt said. "He will be missed."

Memphis police officers said the shooter got into an argument with Keith shortly after midnight Thursday. The argument eventually gave way to physical violence.

That's when the man Keith was arguing with pulled out a gun and opened fire. He then ran away.

The family said it knows exactly who the shooter is and they hope he does the right thing and turns himself in to authorities.

"All the family is really asking for--just for the shooter just to turn himself in," Keith's uncle said.

The shooting happened less than 36 hours after a man was shot and killed on the other side of the Binghampton neighborhood, on Mimosa Avenue. The 22-year-old man was killed after people in his car started arguing with people on the street and shots were fired.
