MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Two people are behind bars, accused of threatening a woman at her apartment complex gates.

The woman drove up to the gate at University Gardens around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday when a red Mitsubishi Outlander pulled up behind her. As she put in her gate code, the Mitsubishi pulled in front of her.

She told police she didn't want to let in someone who didn't live in the apartment complex, so she pulled away from the call box. Then, suspect Tasha Kennedy got out of her car and walked up to the call box. Kennedy and the victim started arguing, then Kennedy put in a code at the call box that didn't open the gate.

Kennedy walked back to her car, had a conversation with the occupants of that vehicle, then walked back to the call box and again put in an invalid code. Kennedy then yelled back at the car and suspect James Moss got out.

The victim then told police Moss walked up to Kennedy carrying a black handgun. He said, "You going to lose your life over a gate?" Moss then walked back to the car and Kennedy continued to push buttons until the gate opened.

The victim took photos during the altercation, which she then gave to police. Police arrested Kennedy and Moss. Both are charged with aggravated assault.
