Spring, summer fun at Dixon Gallery and Gardens

He's spent more than a decade observing the variety of plant forms which grow in the mid-south. Now, Oxford, Mississippi based artist Carlyle Wolfe will exhibit a collection of line drawings reflecting the gradual and constant change in the landscape through the spring and summer months.

The exhibition will take place at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens in Memphis -- 4339 Park Avenue.

'Their Line Has Gone Out Through All the Eart: Spring and Summer Flower Drawings' will be in the Mallory/Wurtburger gallery starting May 22 until August 7 and features plants and flowers from the months of February to August, like Virginia Bluebells and Native Azaleas in the Dixon's Woodland Garden.

You are also invited to enjoy a free movie on the Dixon South Lawn for the second annual South Lawn Cinema series.

Bring your blankets, chairs, snacks and friends Thursday, May 26 for a showing of "Toy Story" for this kid friendly classic.

Then, June 2, more family friendly fare with "Three Amigos."

Thursday, June 9, leave the kids at home for the viewing of "Coming to America."

On June 23, the showing of "Moulin Rouge" becomes a musical celebration with Opera Memphis.
