MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The progress being made on the new hotel at Graceland has Whitehaven set to be all shook up as the area prepares for the completion of the soon-to-be-latest attraction.

The Guesthouse at Graceland has gone up almost as fast as an Elvis record on the charts.

But soon, "Heartbreak Hotel" will come down.

The hotel, named after one of the King's biggest hits, will come tumbling down, according to the new construction permits filed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Ray Kenworthy is one of many people who have visited Graceland multiple times. He said he would be willing to come from Machester, England, no matter what is around Graceland.

"You know, anybody who likes Elvis will come, whatever it's like," Kenworthy said.

But soon, things may be even more 'fit for a King.'

According to the permits and published reports, all of the buildings across Elvis Presley Boulevard from the mansion will be demolished and replaced. A new museum, restaurants, and retail space are part of a more than $30 million dollar plan.

According to the plans, Elvis' planes will remain grounded where they are.

For first-time Graceland visitors like the Miller family from Illinois, it's a great idea.

"You actually need the facilities to handle all of the people that are coming here," one family member said.

The city has already made streetscape improvements along Elvis Presley Boulevard. Graceland will reveal more about its plans this summer.
