Friday may bring a shower or two, but then it's going to be a dry, beautiful weekend in Memphis! Nothing on your agenda? We've got you covered.

St. Jude Dragon Boat Races

It's that time of year again--when the Mississippi River is filled with beautiful dragon boats for an awesome cause. Duncan-Williams, Inc. is hosting the St. Jude Dragon Boat races at Mud Island River Park on Saturday morning.

Join a team or cheer on your friends staring at 8:30 a.m.! Registration for a team is $1,500 for corporations or $900 for non-profits, but cheering is free! All proceeds benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Shimmy Mob Memphis Showcase

If you missed Shimmy Mob at Overton Square last week-don't fret! The bellydancers are back with a showcase, a silent auction, and more starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The event, which is part of a worldwide flash mob organized to raise awareness for women's and children's shelters, will take place on the second floor of Club 152. If you can't make it to the event, you can donate here to raise money for victims of domestic violence at Family Safety Center.

Party on Top of the World

What could be better than sipping classy drinks from an open bar and snacking on gourmet appetizers while looking over Memphis and the Mississippi River? Doing all of that in support of HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness. Join the Memphis LGBT Community Center as they say "thank you" to the Elton John AIDS Foundation for a $75,000 grant for research and community outreach.

Tickets to the event are limited at $100 each. Dress code for the party is red and white, dressy casual.

Grand Auction at the Brooks Museum

More than 50 lots will be up for auction, with lots of wine available, in this truly grand outdoor auction.

The sales begin at 6 p.m., with a wine tasting at 5 p.m. Tickets are $150, or a table of 12 is $1,800.

Palestine Fest

Food! Music! Dancing! food?!? I'm definitely in. Join Palestine Fest Memphis for their first ever event, hosted at Overton Park on the Greensward. Local Middle Eastern Restaurants will cater the event until food runs out. The event is free and open to the public, Saturday starting at 11 a.m.

The spooky tour starts promptly at 7:30 p.m. and costs $25.

Downtown Murder Investigation

It's not as grizzly as it sounds. Or is it? Join Historical Haunts Memphis for a two hour tour and investigation of a 1918 murder site. Did you know Memphis is considered one of the nation's most haunted cities? This tour will certainly prove that to be true.

The night ends with a spirit box session in the dark basement of the murder scene. What a spirit box session is, I don't know, but it sounds creepy. The investigation begins at 7:30 p.m. and costs $20 per person, ages 18 and over only.

Sip and See Community Baby Shower

There's no better way to wake up than with some outdoor yoga. This class combines spirituality with a slow yoga flow.

The class meets in the meadow along the Wolf River Greenway. The class is free and no reservation is necessary, but donations are accepted for Holy Yoga's "Breathe Love Give" campaign, which raises funds for Holy Yoga's International Missions. Bring a yoga mat or beach towel and get ready to say "oooohhhhmmmm."

Hit The Floor!

Our Redbirds are back and taking on another California team. With promotions on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (plus a fireworks show on Saturday!), you're sure to have an awesome time. Bring your glove in case of foul balls!

Bullets over Broadway

Woody Allen once said eighty percent of success is showing up. So that means you should successfully buy a ticket to Bullets over Broadway, playing this weekend at The Orpheum. The musical, written by Allen himself, tells the story of a young playwright who looks to a mobster for a little financial help.

You can get tickets for Friday night, Saturday afternoon or evening, and Sunday afternoon for as little as $25.

Slippery When Wet

Bon Jovi fans-rejoice! Though you won't get to see the man himself, this Bon Jovi lookalike even fooled celebrities like comedian Dave Chappelle. Jason Morey has toured the country, performing the ultimate tribute to Bon Jovi to packed houses everywhere. Bon Jovi himself is even cool with the show.

Check out the show yourself and see if you can tell the difference. Doors open Saturday at 7 p.m. at New Daisy Theatre. Tickets run between $15 and $18.

Entre Mujeres

Join Cazateatro, a bilingual theatre group, for their production of Entre Mujeres, a comedy about a group of college friends reuniting after 25 years. The show promises to make you laugh, cry, and think.

Tickets are $19 in advance or $25 at the door, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. at Evergreen Theatre.

We're not roasting marshmallows here...we're talking a ROAST OFF--Memphis comedy style! Join amateur and professional comedians for a night of roast-style comedy. Tickets are $10 for the 3-round competition, starting at 7 p.m. at The Den on Marshall Avenue.

The Wiseguys

Once you're done cracking up at Roast N' Memphis, head to Cafe Eclectic for even more side splitting humor with The Wiseguys: Storytellers Unplugged. The show features improv and storytellers for an evening of unforgettable entertainment.

A special menu will be on hand for the show. Alcohol will not be served, but you can BYOB. The show starts at 10:30 p.m., and tickets are $5.

Taste the Rarity

LOCAL BEER!!! By now, you guys know how much I love local beer. So you must know that I'm absolutely PUMPED for Wiseacre's newest flavor. The best part? It's called UNICORNUCOPIA! That's the best beer name I've ever heard.

For $50, you can join in the fun as Wiseacre debuts the new double IPA. Live music, games, and food trucks will be on site. Your ticket also includes a commemorative taster glass. Head to the brewery on Broad Avenue Saturday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

I'm pretty sure heaven is filled with cured pork and aged whiskey. Learn the secrets to the perfect bacon from expert Jonathan Burlison of Memphis' Pigasus Cured Meats. You can then make your own bacon at home for your own slice of heaven every morning.
